Filing

We prepare and submit your complete I-485 package, along with I-130, I-765 (work permit), I-131 (travel permit), and all supporting documents. Filing concurrently saves months of waiting.

Receipt Notices (1–3 weeks after filing)

USCIS sends receipt notices confirming your case is being processed. These notices include your case receipt number for online status tracking.

Biometrics Appointment (1–3 months after filing)

You attend an appointment at a USCIS Application Support Center to provide fingerprints, photograph, and signature for background checks.

Work Permit and Travel Permit Issued (3–5 months after filing)

Your Employment Authorization Document (EAD) and Advance Parole travel document are typically issued before your interview. The EAD allows you to legally work anywhere in the U.S.

Interview Notice Received (6–10 months after filing)

USCIS schedules your interview at the field office closest to your home address. We receive the notice and prepare you in advance.

Interview (8–14 months after filing)

You and your petitioning spouse attend the interview together. An officer reviews your case and asks questions about your relationship and background.

Green Card Approved and Mailed

If approved at the interview, your green card is printed and mailed, typically within 2–4 weeks. You become a lawful permanent resident of the United States.
